Transportation and Loan Closet

The Specialized Transportation Program provides curb-to-curb transportation services for people who are age 55 and over, or people with a disability. Our vans are handicapped-accessible.

Specialized Transportation provides transportation to medical appointments, personal appointments, banking or shopping, visits with family or friends, or to run errands in town. Participants who need assistance are required to have another person escort them to their appointment, and that person may ride free of charge.

Rides are available Monday through Friday. Please call to schedule your transportation as soon as possible to assure availability. The fee for Specialized Transportation is $8.00 each way within the city limits of Superior, WI, and $12.00 each way for medical rides to the areas of Essentia Health, Miller Dwan and St. Lukes medical facilities in Duluth, MN. One-way medical rides to Hermantown & Miller Hill Mall medical facilities are $16.00.  On-way medical rides to Pike Lake, MN are $20.00. Additional costs will apply to other areas within Duluth, MN. One-way fees to or from rural Douglas county are based on the distance from Superior, WI.

Please call Liz at Senior Connections to get to your destination safely.  We drop you off at the front door of your destination and pick you up when your appointment is over. We eliminate the hassle of paying for parking and the worry about walking long distances.

Please call:  715-394-3611 and ask for Liz.
