Position Descriptions:
Meals on Wheels Delivery Driver or Substitute Driver
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
Pay: $14.70 per hour
Location: Douglas County, Wisconsin
Position Overview
The Nutrition Driver reports to the Nutrition Director and is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of Meals on Wheels to older adults throughout the community. A delivery vehicle is provided.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate a provided vehicle
- Ability to learn assigned routes and follow directions
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and coworkers
- Ability to interact respectfully with older adults in their homes
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to maintain accurate delivery logs and records
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Load and unload meals and coolers at the beginning and end of each shift
- Deliver meals to older adults in their homes accurately and on time
- Collect participant donations and provide receipts
- Maintain accurate delivery records
- Assist with other duties as needed

Part-Time Meal Site Operator in Solon Springs, Wisconsin
Schedule: Part-time, up to 4 hours per day depending on the site, mornings to early afternoons.
Pay: $14.36 per hour
Location: Solon Springs, Wisconsin
Position Overview
The Nutrition Site Operator reports to the Nutrition Director and helps coordinate the preparation, service, and delivery of nutritious meals to older adults in the community. This position also assists with the oversight and coordination of site volunteers and participants.
Qualifications
- Previous volunteer experience preferred
- Experience coordinating tasks and working with others
- Must complete required annual training
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and coworkers
- Ability to give and receive direction
- Ability to adapt to changing day-to-day needs
- Ability to manage a schedule and help ensure clients receive their meals
- Ability to work within the community
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with preparing meals for older adults in the community
- Prepare dining and serving areas before meal service
- Serve and/or deliver meals to participants
- Help ensure the well-being of meal participants
- Assist with cleanup following meal service
- Complete required daily paperwork and records
- Count and handle money
- Attend required annual training
- Assist with other duties as needed
