Nutrition Site Operator 

$13.68 per hour

Description

The Nutrition Site Operator reports to the Nutrition Director and is responsible for the oversight of volunteers and the preparation and serving/delivering of nutritious meals to seniors at the Phoenix Villa Apartments in Superior, WI.  The working hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 12noon. $13.68 per hour. 

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous volunteer experience is preferred
  • Experience coordinating tasks utilizing the efforts of others
  • Must complete yearly training.

Skills

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to walk for periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to clients and coworkers.
  • Ability to give and receive direction.
  • Ability to be flexible within a day to day basis.
  • Ability to manage a schedule in order to ensure all clients receives their meals.
  • Ability to work out in the community.

Nutrition Driver (SUBSTITUTE)

$14.00 PER HOUR

Description

The Nutrition Driver reports to the Nutrition Director and is responsible for the timely delivery of meals to seniors (Meals on Wheels) throughout the community Monday-Friday usually from 9:45am-Noon.   

***This is an on call/fill-in position to assist when the regular Driver is out***

Education/Experience

  • Must have a high school diploma
  • Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.

Skills

  • Ability to drive a vehicle (provided).
  • Ability to learn a route and follow directions.
  • Ability to minimally interact with seniors in their homes while delivering meals.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and coworkers.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to maintain an accurate log and collect money from participants as needed.

  • Load and unload meals and coolers at the beginning and end of shifts.

Specialized Transportation Driver (SUBSTITUTE)

$14.12 per hour

General Job Description
Description
The Specialized Transport Driver reports to the Transportation Coordinator and is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of clients to and from various locations. The Driver must be able to safely handle wheelchairs and clients with special needs while also maintaining a schedule for drop off and pick up times.
Education/Experience
• Must have a valid Driver’s license with a clean record.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must receive training on how to safely handle wheelchairs and other walking aides.
Skills
• Ability to manage a schedule.
• Ability to navigate throughout the Twin Ports and Douglas County.
• Ability to communicate with clients and supervisors.
• Ability to work with walking aides and wheelchairs and assist with clients getting in and out of the vehicle.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport clients to and from locations.
• Assist with embarking and disembarking the vehicle.
• Manage a strict schedule of drop offs and pickups.

• Assist clients throughout the process as needed.
• Complete daily paperwork as directed by Transportation Coordinator.
