Meals on Wheels-Douglas County, WI

Meals on Wheels – Douglas County, Wisconsin is ideal for those who cannot get to a congregate meal site. Meals on Wheels – Douglas County, operated by Senior Connections, provides a nutritious meal in microwave-safe, reusable trays or bowls. 

Meals are available Monday through Friday to persons 60 or older that are homebound. Frozen meals and/or shelf-stable meals (limited supply) may be available for weekends, holidays, and weather-related emergencies.

The program also provides an invaluable well-being check to those who may be experiencing isolation.  Persons can be referred to Meals on Wheels – Douglas County by a social worker, doctor, family member, or through self-referral.  

Anyone who receives this service is asked to contribute to the cost of the meal. There is a suggested contribution of $5.00 per meal.  Contributions are confidential and no one (aged 60+) will be denied because of their inability to pay. 

Staff from Senior Connections conducts an annual assessment to determine an individual’s need for home delivered service.
