Health Promotion

Senior Connections offers several health promotion evidence-based workshops, that can help you maintain your independence and help manage your life. 

Workshops are being offered free or for a minimal donation for materials for Douglas County residents.

Please consider joining indiGO for this in-person event. They are so happy to have this opportunity to strengthen community ties, provide accessibility education and support, and to collaborate on solutions.

Please join us, starting July 9th we will kick off our “Brighter Days Ahead” general support group.

This will be a place for you to come, have some coffee and just talk about what has been on your mind. This group is open to all, at no cost.

Reduces the fear of falling and increases activity levels in older adults.  Participants learn to view falls and fear of falling as controllable, set realistic goals for increased activity, change their living space to reduce fall risks, and promote exercise to increase strength and balance.


Balance your life and take care of yourself by learning to reduce stress, improve self-confidence, better communicate feelings, locate helpful resources, and increase ability to make tough decisions.
