Senior Connections’ Live Independently Care Closet, previously known as our Loan Closet, provides free medical equipment and personal care supplies to Douglas County, Wisconsin residents who need a little extra support to remain safe and independent at home. Available items are provided free of charge for as long as they are needed. Because our inventory depends largely on community donations, availability may vary. Donations to help support and maintain this valuable community resource are always appreciated.
Items We May Have Available
Depending on current inventory, our Care Closet may offer:
- Wheelchairs
- Walkers and seated walkers
- Canes and crutches
- Commodes
- Toilet seat risers
- Shower chairs and benches
- Bed and safety rails
- Unopened incontinence products and personal care supplies
- Other mobility and safety equipment

Have Equipment or Supplies to Donate?
We gladly accept many new or gently used, clean, complete, and properly functioning mobility and safety items. We also accept certain personal care supplies when they are new and in unopened packages.
For health, safety, and storage reasons, we are unable to accept certain items, including beds, mattresses, CPAP machines, power chairs, opened personal care supplies, or incomplete medical equipment.
