Elderly Benefit Specialist Program
The Benefit Specialist Program provides advocacy and assistance
to Douglas County residents 60 years and older, under the direction
of CWAG (Coalition
of Wisconsin
Aging Groups Elder Law Center).
The Elderly Benefit Specialist for Senior Connections
is
Pat Nelson.
Benefit
Specialists assists with legal needs concerning public benefits
such as
Medicare, Medicare Part D, and a variety of other issues
relating to public benefits.
The Benefit Specialist also assists with grievance and appeals
procedures and can
act
as an appointed representative.
The Elderly Benefit Specialist is available
Monday through Friday and can be reached
at
the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Douglas County, located in
the Government
Center, at 1316 North 14th Street, Suite 327, Superior, Wisconsin,
from 8:00 a.m. to
